The Serengeti tour starts after landing (at Seronera) on the airstrip in the morning, and a game drive, dinner, and overnight into the Serengeti starts.

This park (Serengeti National Park) is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen.

Witness the Big Five and the Serengeti Migration

The Serengeti is famous for its yearly migration, during which hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water. On this safari, you will be able to witness the big five.

The Serengeti, the habitat of abundant wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The rainfall determines the animals’ trek and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. They return to the north from April to June during the more extended rainy season. Apart from the migrating herds, we may have the opportunity to see the resident predators, leopards, cheetahs, and lions, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.

Almost every large mammal species in Africa, from black rhinos to spotted hyenas, is commonly sighted on game drives in this crater. In the afternoon, we visit one of the local Maasai villages.
